Element Preparation Technician
Chace Audio by Deluxe is hiring an Element Preparation Technician responsible for preparing and staging job elements for audio engineers. The position requires knowledge of film and video industry vocabulary with an audio emphasis, hands-on experience with audiovisual media with an audio emphasis, completion of relevant coursework at an audio or film school, and computer literacy (preferably Macintosh).The position requires lifting up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders, pushing carts and dollies holding up to 300 lbs., and wearing a respirator.

Assistant Director and Curator, Moving Image Research Collections
The University of South Carolina is hiring an assistant director and curator of its Moving Image Research Collections, responsible for one or more of the following areas: Regional Film Collections (diverse amateur and independently produced films from the Southeastern US), Chinese Film Collection (documentary and fiction feature films from the People’s Republic of China), Science and Nature Films (including the Roman Vishniac Collection).
Qualifications include a master’s degree in moving-image archiving or library-and-information science and three years work experience. Preferred qualifications include managerial experience, experience supervising students, success in writing grants and publishing, and ability to communicate in Chinese.
