AMIA Conference Registration is Open

Registration is now open for the annual conference of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, the largest professional organization in the field. The convention offers sessions and workshops on varied topics, as well as an opportunity to network with colleagues and other interested parties including vendors of hardware and software associated with moving-image conservation, restoration, and presentation.

This year’s meeting is to be held in Seattle, at the Westin Seattle hotel, 3-7 December 2012. The schedule includes workshops on Monday and Tuesday, 3-4 December; the always-popular showcase of restored film (or film that needs it), The Reel Thing, Tuesday, 4 December; an Opening Reception on  Tuesday, 4 December; and presentation sessions,  Wednesday-Friday, 5-7 December.

Registration is available online, as is a preliminary program.
